Re: Not a formula car, but not a sedan

I'm not sure the flexibility on the sports racer classing, but you'll be real close to Super B with that power to weight. At 3200lbs I am limited to about 250whp to stay in Super C.

Re: rush race cars

I wouldn't mind driving one of these beasts myself, but I think using them in our school format with lead/follow is a poor idea, especially for a novice. IMO, I don't know what business any 200mph-capable full-on race car has in Group 4. But you should bring one to an event and run it in group 1, th...

That's a good lookin' STI on that back of that trailer, Mick. Speaking of which, if you need a ride for Palmer, you're welcome to co-drive with me.

Re: F150 3.5 Eco Boost. Is it enough...

Having bought 2 diesel trucks for towing; it is definitely a better towing option than a gas motor, but it's significantly more expensive and might not be a good idea overall. The heavy duty diesel premium is anywhere from $4500 to $7500 on a new truck, and the used diesels seem to command a premium...

Re: Harness // rollbar options

A bit of a tangent, but you have 14 engine points... any thought towards using a dyno run instead of adding up mods? You may find you wind up in T60. Not that we don't want more cars in T70, mind you :D I've run no cage, half cage, and full cage. If you're going to run on the street at all, the half...

Re: Next year's schedule

I think one of the ways for us to make it more appealing to members to take the time and expense to travel to places like Tremblant, is to make the event more of a destination for families, which many of us have. Basically, us drivers get to do something we love, but there is almost zero incentive f...

Re: Dynojet chassis dyno

Thank Shai Hulud you don't need an AWD dynojet; the nearest one is on Long Island! http://dynojet.com/dynocenters/dynojet-automotive-dyno-centers.aspx?Address=New+Hampshire%2c+USA&usa_distance=150 I went through this list to find an AWD one, and it was hit or miss. Just a lot of calls to find a ...

My guess would be a base class of T70, not sure if the rules alias got back to you but I'd think that's a good fit for the car.

Re: Different kind of tire thread

In my experience, nothing beats the Hakkas. I ran them on years back on my STI, and that car was unstoppable. I've since run Dunlops, Pirellis and Bridgestones. I liked the Pirellis in the dry, but they weren't great in snow. Dunlop and Bridgestones were better in snow, but not so great in the dry.
