I am experiencing difficulties with my email Event Confirmation system. I wanted to let all attendees know that the track registration will be from 7:00 – 8:00 AM Thursday morning at the Main Gate track entrance.

For those few that still owe their Event Fee ($195) and / or 2011 Annual Membership ($35) please bring either cash or check. “No payment – No registration!!!”

Garage rental / payment will be done at registration from 7:00 to 8:00 AM (or until we are sold out). You can request a garage space on the Test Day registration site.

It would be about 100%
Incorrect, sir! Take note: if you want to get into a COM event this year, especially one at NHMS, REGISTER AND PAY EARLY!

We've unfortunately had to turn some away. Getting in depends on the car and to some extent the driver at this point. Best chance to get in now is if someone with a similar car cancels. If you want to get in, as usual, the best thing to do is to contact Mark Swinehart directly. He's our registrar, and his contact info is on our website.

I say "unfortunate" because we don't like to turn people away, but there is plenty of good news for those that registered early. The weather is looking great as are run groups and track time for attendees. Everyone is on the clock for 6 sessions, scheduled for 2:30 of track time. We'll be flexible and will maximize track time as much as possible without crowding the track.
Very nice!

Nate, would you consider me qualified to help tech? If so, I'll volunteer.

Sure! We have a checklist, and we just follow that. If issues come up, we talk.

Will sound control be testing and enforcing any limits?

I have requested the snack bar be open from 830AM to 200PM.
Gas and fluid shed for 1230-130.

I know it late.... you requested, but did we get a confirmation that it will be open?

Boy that was fun after a long Winter! Great to see everyone again. Just wish the windspeed and temperatures didn't match (what was it 48F and 48mph winds?)

Did you notice the snow?

Yes, that was great. Shall we do it every year?

I liked it to "prepare" for Mosport. I don't think I would get much out of a test/tune day if the first points event was at NHMS anyway.
However, if future years start off with an another epic journey to a faraway track (Mosport, Glen, Tremblant, NJMP, etc...), it is worth it to make sure everything "works" prior to beginning the quest.

Either way, if it came down to a test/tune day or another TT event (away weekend event, preferrably), I would always take the TT event.

I think the first event every year should be at NHMS regardless if it is a test and tune or a TT. I like being able to go somewhere close to home to shake out the bugs - it'd suck to get all the way up to Mosport and realize something wasn't working right.

Great day, signed up for Mosport when I got home last night.

Agreed. I was able to expose some issues to be dealt with. It would have sucked to have to try and iron them out at Mosport.

Same here. Many, many changes over the winter. Glad to have a shakedown session before a long distance event. I thought the format worked well, I ran two AM sessions and spent the third working on the car and my trailer. One final afternoon session and I had learned everything I could have learned so I was happy.
