Re: Where to buy SA helmets locally
I guess it depends on what is "local" for you. The only place I know here in eastern MA is HMS Motorsports in Danvers.

Re: 2020 TT Season
I'm thinking a test n tune day with just licensed drivers to start when ever we can get back on a track would be a good way to try out any new procedures. Drivers meetings we sometimes meet outdoors now, so just spread out at little more? could be challenging at venues with poor PAs . Tech; stay in ...

Re: Trailer Input
I'll second what Bob said, car trailers usually are set up a little better to secure the car. A utility trailer may not have brakes which is important when hauling a heavy load. The other issue with a utility trailer may be the ability to open the door of the car. Typically utility trailers have a r...

Re: I have the reaction time of a 19 year old! (in a good way...)
That was fun. I tried 5 times most times I was in the 25-33 range but pulled off a not human 184ms once. Too bad most of the people we share the roads with probably have the reaction time of a 90 year old.

6 point vs 5 point
I have a driver's seat with provisions for a 6 point harness but my passenger seat is only set up for a 5 point harness. Can I run 6 point driver side harness and 5 point harness on the passenger side? I do occasionally ask for an instructor to ride with me.

Re: Suggestion for changing time trial format
In as much I would like more track time, the three hot laps is a special kind of competition. Like others have said you have to be ready/on for your three laps. I have run in another format where you are on the clock all day long. The traffic is always there but it is about the same for everyone and...

Re: Sharing a Car
I co drove with licensed/student at one event this summer and it was a bit of a challenge. Ideally you will want to run different tires especially if you are ready for R comps so that means tire swaps between sessions. We lucked out that most of the time we had a session between our run groups but e...

Mosport Video
I'll start.... https://youtu.be/5RQirsdwy4k Just after the crash I thought I had come in too hot and power-slid off the track. Upon review of the video, the rear end steps out and I didn't react quick enough to save it. In looking at previous passes through this corner, RPM's and speed seem similar....
