6 point vs 5 point
I have a driver's seat with provisions for a 6 point harness but my passenger seat is only set up for a 5 point harness. Can I run 6 point driver side harness and 5 point harness on the passenger side? I do occasionally ask for an instructor to ride with me.

Chuck, email Nick Fontana at rules@comscc.org
The BOD just tweaked this section of the rule via email to clarify the wording. I can't recall how the belt wording was updated. I don't think the rule edit is online yet so I don't want to miss-lead you or point you in the wrong direction.

I am not on the Tech group, but from my perspective, an anti-submarine belt is an anti-submarine belt. If you want to crunch your passenger's balls, that's your choice

Re: 6 point vs 5 point
Yes we are updating this wording. Unofficially COM does not differentiate between 5 and 6 point belts in terms safety.
