Re: Bringatrailer.com experience?

Bloody dangerous website though. If I spend anymore time there I'm likely to buy an old Datsun for nostalgia. My grandfather had one. It was about the only "indulgence" he ever got for himself. I feel like one day I need to have one... I agree--very dangerous. If looking for a 510 -- migh...

Re: Bringatrailer.com experience?

I bought a car from BAT just about 2 years ago. Impulse buy, so anyone lurking there be careful. Ask any and all questions from the seller before you bid. The audience/members are usually good about picking up any issues, but you never know. Seller did not disclose everything to me which resulted in...

I normally bring 4 -5 gallon jugs in. Technically they can charge you a duty fee, but I have never run into it.

Re: Local Dyno Jets

I found that list on the Dyno Jet site to be very outdated when trying to find a shop near Albany.
I ended up going to the Corvette Center in Newington CT ( Hartford) .
Very nice people. Ray is a racer and schedules out the Dyno time. 860 -953-2994.

Re: Mosport Questions

A totally unofficial reply and I am wondering if we can drop cars on Sunday as well. But going into Canada is usually less hassle than coming back. If you are going up Rt 81, Stop at Exit 48 or 49 for fuel, it will save some money. If your tow vehicle runs super or you did not fill gas cans ahead of...

Re: carbotech

I order from Saferacer as well using the SCCA discount plus free shipping , plus you earn discount points with them, which can be applied to the next order I never figured out the total discount, so like Jeff --depends on the price--but would rather spend money with a local person/fellow club member.

Re: Sept outting at Watkins Glen

Third, the description says day 2 is time trials. Very few car insurance policies cover tack events of any kind. The few that do specifically state timed events are not covered. Additionally, Both track insurance companies I have used also specifically state they do NOT cover timed events. Can anyo...

Re: 2014 Schedule

Is there any word on any additional events being added ( hopefully North of the border) --- I need to start negotiating time off and would prefer COM events to attend.
( I know how tough it is to work dates with the tracks, and the efforts of the officers--keep up the good work)

Re: Onsite camping at Watkins and Thompson?

Many tracks charge a Club renting the track an additional Fee to allow people to stay overnight. Some of that cost is used for "security" to remain overnight. I know LRP and WGI both have additional charges in their contracts.

Re: New York Safety Track - Safety Barriers Up Yet?

I was there Sunday with some friends. There was no curbing in place yet ( I am told will be soon --not sure if that means before Ferrari event) The run off area is not nice in some spots. There are trees etc that are do not have barriers in front of them and other areas where runoff room is not pret...
