Car classing
I meant to ask this before the rules closed for 2006 but forgot. Why is the 944 turbo when in SP or P trim an "A" car? As a 4cyl turbo it seems like it should be a SPB or a PB. Is it really that much of an overdog to warrant the only exception?

Rules file corrupted?
I cannot get into the Acrobat version of the rules with the full markup (the larger file). Is anyone else having that problem? I've tried from a couple different internet connections and have checked all my settings.

I am definitely available to volunteer.
When are bodies needed? On the raffle front I was thinking that we could make a drawing twice a day or every 3 hours for an annual membership. As I saw from last years sign ups it took quite a few sign ups to secure a paying member and then even fewer actually made an event. How about 1 grand prize ...

Having attended last year I thought it was a great booth put on. As 'membership liason' I know we signed up a large number of new members from the event. This year I think we should raffle off a few memberships to folks who fill out the card. I think it would generate a lot of addition interest and ...

Banquet payment
The online check pay is not working again (at least for me). I've heard that the BofA often rejects these online payments.
Does anyone know where to send payment? The website doesn't say unless I were to reregister which would double count me and mess up the numbers.

Can a stock 1990 Miata with an OEM hardtop be run in SSC without a rollbar?

Ditto to all of that, it really is a great family destination. Even though my car broke the family had a blast.

Someone left a red M&R neck ring on my truck, well used but in good shape. Drop me a note with an address and I'll send it to you or bring it to the next event.

Jamie...

Re: Lime Rock at 47 second lap times, part 2
I have to say the Speed challenge, ALMS series weekend at LRP is the most fan friendly venue I've ever experienced. I ran the SCCA ITS/ITA/SRF race on the 4th which entitled me and crew, full access to all the racing all weekend. I brought my family and my cousins family (10 in all) for price of ent...

1978 911 Targa
A few questions on running a 78 911 Targa:

1. After reading the rules, I believe a completely stock 78 911 targa would be clasified as a SSGT? I wasn't sure what the reference to 911 "NOC" (the NOC part) in the car listings was.

2. What is the recommended/required proced...
