1978 911 Targa

Post by jkekeisen » Wed Mar 10, 2004 2:36 pm

A few questions on running a 78 911 Targa:

1. After reading the rules, I believe a completely stock 78 911 targa would be clasified as a SSGT? I wasn't sure what the reference to 911 "NOC" (the NOC part) in the car listings was.

2. What is the recommended/required procedure for the Targa top ie run with it on or off? Are arm restraints required.

NOC = Not otherwise classified

Brad Pelletier as Chief Steward would be the person I'd suggest you contact in reference to car classification.

I think Brad is also Rules Chair so he should be able to answer your question about arm restraints.

The recommendation would be to run with it on, as it
usually adds stiffness, but it's not actually required.

Arm restraints are not required with the roof on, I
would expect they would be required with the roof off.
