ive ran alot of oval races with autos and no trannie coolers, and never had a problem. it was the guys running the standards that had problems and that only developed after a crash or too, they would break the teath right off the gears

just got a vw jetta mk3 and as everyone knows these are rust buckets, i have a hole in the passinger side rear floor whats the rule for repairing that, nothing structural is rotted or rusted just a part of the floor pan is missing, so cut and weld or cut and quick set 50 ar something simuler... im g...

thank you last time i looked anything under 180k was 1200 and up.. so time to get the tax return back and start getting parts if the motors stay where they are i will go that route

allready tried all of them have 200k + miles on them if i buy the oem oversized pistions and rings + get the block bored,cleen up the heads a lil bit and all the gaskets it will be around the same price plus i wont scatter the insides all over the track and have to walk home

yea i would if i had the $3000+ to make that hapen. you gota rember that some motor swaps arnt just swaping the motor.. i would need the sti trans and rear end so it would hold up to my dumb self

never mind just read it you have to run cats,can you run universal cats? the oe ones are $1600 for bolth from subaru and 600 for bolth from some place online but a universal is 100 o yea i have a 97 subaru impreza

ok thanks now time to tear this motor apart and get some pistions. so do you have to run cats in ssc beacuse bolth on this car are full of oil,fuel,and carbon due to one of the ring lands breaking and sending all the oil out the tail pipe,

i have a subaru impreza with a 2.2 that blue up and i was wondering if i used a stock 2.5 motor with everything else stock also would this be the class i would be in? or could i run in ssb? bolth motors are from the same year car

i gots my thumb out haha and if people dont put me in the wall we should be all set and if i do end up in the wall opsi, hopefully it dosent end up like my gokart did yesterday aftes flipping about 6 or more times at 80ish mph haha
