floor patches
just got a vw jetta mk3 and as everyone knows these are rust buckets, i have a hole in the passinger side rear floor whats the rule for repairing that, nothing structural is rotted or rusted just a part of the floor pan is missing, so cut and weld or cut and quick set 50 ar something simuler... im going to be running show room stock as i dont have the funds to be competive in any other class with this car

Re: floor patches
I would like to see the repair as strong as the original panel. Cutting the rotted steel away, and overlapping a new steel patch panel and welded, would be ideal. Not difficult, either. Glues need real clean, tight fitting joints to work properly.(Usually difficult with floor rust repair).
