Re: Where to get used tires locally?

Turner Motorsports often has used tires for sale. I've bought several sets of Grand Am Cup Hoosiers from them - about $300 shipped to your door for a set.

Re: Watkins Glen track changes for 2010

Finally, Turn 11 improvements will feature .... Additionally, all grass areas between the new SAFER barrier and the track will be paved to help provide better traction when a driver is attempting to bring their car to a stop. Hmm, more likely to provide better traction for the Cup cars trying to mak...

Re: meth/water injection info

I guess the answer is to keep your methanol tank in the engine compartment - like every car currently has a windshield washer reservoir. How about a diesel engine with urea injection? Or a 2-stroke with oil injection? All STi's & EVO's come from the factory with a trunk-mounted waterspray tank d...

Re: meth/water injection info

I'd have to say that I am not in favor of this rule change. I think it's been pretty well addressed that a methanol/water mix poses no greater risk than commercial windshield washer fluid. Requiring a 'fuel' tank just seems silly. What about the STi's & Evo's that have water-spray systems as sta...

Re: im new

Not sure how to take it, but I had another ride along student ask me to stop and pull back into the pits before I had even made 2 laps around Mosport. I hadnt even gotten everything warmed up yet! It took longer to get'em strapped in than those 2 laps took... Were you demonstrating your famous Cala...

Re: Longer session times for run groups 1&2

Ahh, I remember a certain Summit Point event...two run groups...one from 8AM to Noon, the second from 1PM to 5. Too bad there were only about 20 of us there.

You'll also pick up a lot of crap on the tires in the pit entrances as you drive back to the garages. You can usually clean off a lot of the stuff if you jack up the car and do it immediately upon coming in.

I think if a number hasn't been used in two years it's up for grabs.

Re: Darwin Rally Team

Hate to admit, but I did something similar many years ago. I ran out of gas about a half mile from a gas station. I had a bottle of dry gas in the trunk. My friend laid across the fender & poured the drygas into the carburetor while I drove the half mile to the station. Silly. As for the VW - I ...

Re: COMSCC Artists? Care to design a COMSCC T-Shirt?

Didn't the club use 'Think You're Fast? Prove it.' on either a brochure or an online ad in the past? I like it.

I think including the blurbs about what the club does is good too - driving instruction/driving school, etc.
