What do we think about having the students work with the "hired" workers for one session? This is standard practice in SCCA- newly licensed drivers are required to work one or more of the specialties such as Grid or Flagging and Communication. One COM/SCCA driver who worked on station with...

Stephan,

I'm in awe! Can I claim a connection with Sir Jackie too? I mean he instructed you and you instructed me. I'm just sayin'...

I had no problem with either end of the trip to Mosport last year. Coming back I got a young ex-miltary type with buzz cut and flak jacket- turns out he owned a Miata (pre-wife and kids) and just wanted to talk about cars. Damn, if only had that box of Cubans!

Bruce Allen can provide the detail, but my understanding is that SCCA will not "own" the Palmer facility and it will be available to other groups. I hope that it becomes COM's home track.

I'll have to get one of these mugs- it even has the revised Mosport date on it. Cool!

LRP from it's inception has always been closely associated with the amateur racing community and I find it unfortunate that LRP managment is turning it's back on the track's history and major constituency. It will be interesting to see whether LRP has the same attitude toward SCCA Club Racing as it ...

RAL Enduro

An awesome showing at the recent RAL Enduro by Miatas and some strong results from COM Miata drivers- Will and Gordon and Lester and Alex. Sure glad I don't own a Beemer or worse, a 'Vette. To be fair this was a tortoise and hare kind of thing- reliability over horsepower. Kudos to Lester and Alex f...

Interesting string. Let me offer a few comments from a Corner Worker's perspective- I worked on Station 1 (Porsche incident) on Saturday and Station 5 (black flag) on Sunday. SCCA officials are well aware of the aggressive driving in some SCCA classes, especially SM and ITA and the Flaggers are aske...

I will be there flagging. Don't have my corner assignment yet, but the Flag Chief said he would take care of me. Hmmm, wonder what he meant by that?

Bruce,

Yellow may not be appropriate, but always happy to use the blue flag.
