An awesome showing at the recent RAL Enduro by Miatas and some strong results from COM Miata drivers- Will and Gordon and Lester and Alex. Sure glad I don't own a Beemer or worse, a 'Vette. To be fair this was a tortoise and hare kind of thing- reliability over horsepower.
Kudos to Lester and Alex for joining us at the Flag Station at Turn #3 on Saturday. An interesting viewpoint for an SCCA race, don't you think?

Congratulations to Fast Freddy F, for the overall win in his Spec Miata!
Gordon qualified our car 3rd overall, behind the Vette (p1), and the Hammitte's BMW (P2). We had a couple of small issues and fell back a bit, but managed to reclaim the lead for our class (ITA) in the 2nd to last lap.
Les & Alex had a few pre-race car issues and unfortunately a long pit stop, due to some confusion of the crew, of which I was one. Beyond that, they ran a great race, all things considered.
There were a BUNCH of COM folks/teams there, including Lee/Jim Alley, John/Nate, John M./Dwayne B., Peter Faill, and I'm sure a few more I've forgotten at the moment.
Tons of fun, and a great experience!
Les did mention a newfound appreciation for the workers after his stint in 3, and said he was cautioned to not be 'a wimpy flagger'. Sounds like you got 'em good Mike, HA!!

Thanks guys, I don't think I've seen so many COM people at an SCCA event, we could have had our own run group The racing was intense - not a single rub or bump, some of the best I've seen in a while. Staying out of trouble and avoiding mistakes was the goal, w/ so many miatas running virtually identical lap times. We did not really try to win so much as we tried not to lose.
