Masking Tape for Numbers?
Is it ok if I use a contrasting color masking tape for my door numbers?
This Saturday will be my first event.

Re: Masking Tape for Numbers?
Anything you want. The uglier the better as long as the timers can read the numbers. Also, if you're running water/meth injection, be sure to tape a big warning sign on the side of your car

"Car numbers and class must be placed on both sides of the car before Tech Inspection. Numbers must have a minimum height of eight (8) inches. Class designations must have a minimum height of 4 inches. Numbers and class designation shall be on a vertical side panels or vertical side windows and shall be of contrasting color to the car. ALL MARKINGS MUST BE EASILY READABLE BY CORNER WORKERS. Novice drivers will place three vertical stripes on each rear quarter panel and trunk lid. Magnetic numbers are permissible provided they are secure to the vehicle, which is the responsibility of the driver of the vehicle."

Another newbie question: Does a leaking head-gasket count as 'water injection'?
Re: Masking Tape for Numbers?
Controlling/forbidding methanol has not yet gone in the rule book. If any of you want to run your alcohol burners, now is the time to do it.cuda6666 wrote: Also, if you're running water/meth injection, be sure to tape a big warning sign on the side of your car
Re: Masking Tape for Numbers?
Depends on whether the smoke is coming from your tail pipe or off the exhaust manifold. In the latter case, it would be considered water ejection.
