Anyone use tire bonnets to secure their car on the trailer?

Those are the same type of tie-downs I been using on my tow dolly for the last six years and never had a problem.

I wish I had these. I hear they are great.
I use the body straps and ended up tying them on the tires as I could not reach certain parts of the car w/o interfering with brake lines, etc.

Some use the body tied-down and wrap it on the wheel but turns out mine does not have an opening wide enough also.

Did you get them at E-trailer.com?

Haven't gotten anything yet but there are a number of places on line that have them. Jegs had a variety of styles for different width tires.

I think these are OK if your trailer is set up for it (like the car dolly) front and rear D rings at the wheels.
The car will bounce around on the suspension over bumps.

I just bought a set from pegasus and am really impressed with the quality, especially compared to the Summit/Jegs ones I had before. Made in USA, heavier construction, and not much more money. They are running a special right now, basically everything you need in a storage container for $ 125

Another vote for Pegasus. Get lots of stuff from them and have 'shopped' them to save a few bucks and what usually arrived from the 'saving' place is not as good quality as Pegasus for a few sheckles more.

Yeah right Les .. Mark's car has no suspension...has no engine either ... and not much of a body to speak for

I take offense at that and you are misinformed â€“ my car has an engine.

Maybe you didnâ€™t see the entire engine â€“ a lot of the parts are on the floorboard in front of the passenger seat.

BTW â€“ Iâ€™m planning on dropping the oil pan tonight to see if I can find the rest of the shims and parts.
