Window nets and PB
Can I use arm restraints instead of window nets for PB?
Some clubs do windows up, some down, some half up and then some have no rules. I'd like to keep my windows if possible.

Anyway, my question still stands. I'm trying to understand how my car will need a window net if I add fender flares so I can run the same size tires that STIs use. I guess I'm also asking why if a window in the up position is good enough for SPB why it's not for PB when times have been comparable for the majority of the drivers.

can we make rule changes in the middle of a season? or do you have to wait till the winter.
Like raj said sp is windows down, no restraints at pretty much every event. For prepared maybe the rule is like that because a net offers superior protection but is impractical on open cars? just a guess. If not then i guess it shouldnt make a difference.

The Prepared rules are written to mandate the highest level of safety requirement for every car, regardless of configuration. Prepared is the "anything goes" class. Well, anything but nitrous, but you get the point. Cars which have a roof must use window nets. Cars that do not have a roof must use either a window net or arm restraints.
I know the t-top remark was said as a joke, or at least that is the way I read it, or maybe it was said as a jab to to rule. In either case, if someone were to cut t-tops into their roof to skirt a safety rule, the joke is on them.

My first ever track day was a combined boston BMWCCA (no space back then)/COM event. Although not a P car, I drove an 86 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z and it had T tops.
