Money is not the problem- Lime Rock is an Exception in that it is a "Make Skippy Richer Plan". The problem is getting a new site approved and built. Club Motorsports says they have piles of money and will be spending it in court to fight the town. Palmer does not plan to take any money until all construction permits are in hand.enjoythemusic wrote:Bruce, would love ALL tracks in the works to open. The more the better for all involved. Am just thinking instead of you helping the SCCA thing, the other guys doing their thing... how about a meeting on the minds to get a single, large event to help everyone?brucesallen wrote:We are getting Al Gore's son. He has the money and has proven that you can drive a Prius at 100 mph while high on pot and pills. We need to get him off the public roads.
It is kinda sad LRP is now taking even more $$$ away from future tracks to help their existing one. Kinda killing off the competition per se. Calabogie is a great example of an excellent new track and the folks there were so warm and welcoming too.

Smart move, as you know some of us feel really burned by Club Motorsports. Not that it is their fault per se, the town and FOCUS is being.... you know. In hindsight i should have not 'invested' into CMI, but hey am sure am not the first guy to throw good money away in the hopes of track time.brucesallen wrote:Palmer does not plan to take any money until all construction permits are in hand.
When the Palmer track permits go through and things are solid i'll be more inquisitive. For now color me sitting way back on the sidelines. Apologies for being a pessimist for now, am usually an optimist... or at least a guy who says the glass is twice as large as needed for the liquid it needs to hold.
Again, hope ALL tracks that are planned and being marketed to the public open for business soon. We need more tracks

Man, I throught those CMI guys where thieves when they introduced their price plans (I guess they could still be if they never open, I see Dan Croteau took to CMI advertisment off his car), but this is outrageous. Too bad VIR is such a distance, last time I looked there club is fairly affordable. $500 joining fee, $130 or so per month fee, and $130 or per track day.
