2007 NHIS #1 Official Information

Post by deimos » Mon Mar 05, 2007 8:58 pm

I confirmed plans with NHIS today. Here is the pertinent info:

1) Chicane-Chicane config
2) North Garages
3) Classroom is indoors at Timing & Scoring
4) Sunoco is not scheduled to have fuel in the pumps, therefore plan on your own fuel. This may change. if so, I'll update accordingly.
5) The track is CLOSED ON EASTER SUNDAY (4/8). This means there is no early drop-off nor registration Sunday night. Registration and garages will open at 7 AM Monday morning.

Other than that, I'm calling the aliens that control our weather to make sure it's a warm and sunny Spring day.

Rain or Sun? Who cares, so long as it isn't SNOW!

On the bright side, if it rains, you'll learn all about smoothness and grace at speed on a wet track in a formula car. You'll be surprised how well Hoosier rain tires stick.

And how much of that "WHAP" of tire spray in a turn you can ignore after the first dozen times it happens.

Thank goodness i have new set of Hoosier wets waiting for me at the track.

Oh goody! LOL Well, i do have anti-fog and visor water repellant... and tear-off if needed. Oh this is really going to be, well, interesting.

(Said in good humor) Maybe i can load a cloths dryer in my trailer :)
Enjoy the Track,
