2007 Rule Book Released

Post by HerbD » Fri Feb 23, 2007 12:40 pm

Greetings all,

This is version 2007-02 of the rule book, and this is the official release.
It will go up on the web site tonight. Please discard any previous versions.

EDIT: March 3 - Updated to version -03:
http://www.dasilvas.net/com/rules2007-03.pdf

This rule book only has one change, but it appears in two places:

X.3.F In Street Touring, Vented, Slotted, and Cross-drilled rotors are
unrestricted. Use of aftermarket cross-drilled rotors is discouraged.

Then again in

VI.B.4 For Street Touring, Street Prepared, and Prepared, the
use of aftermarket cross-drilled rotors is discouraged.

Otherwise, this version is the same as the previous one.

Hi Herb. Will the rulebook be published and mailed to the member as in the past or is it Internet only. If you have a question at the track about someone's car will you have to find a laptop you can borrow?

We have been inserting into a Drift when possible.
But that would depend on the Drift schedule.

Any Steward should have a copy on hand at an event,
and Mark Swinehart (the Registrar) typically keeps a copy
with him as well.

Herb,

Excellent! Agree about drilled as those things can play a NASTY 'connect the dots' game. Solid or slots are the way to go for sure and glad to see COMSCC infer it in the rules.
Enjoy the Track,
