Classes Revised for 2007

George points out what I said earlier in this discussion-- that many driver don't understand the rules for the class they enter and a running an illegal car for that class. Maybe the club should print up a rule book and pass it out at the events or a least a little outline of the difference between SS,ST,and SP.

Dan, I think George might have looked into the rules a little bit deeper if he was fitting an aftermarket part, rather than a stock part from another model year C5 Corvette. It isn't very logical to bump his car to SPA for doing an update.

Dan, the rules are available online, right next to the link to sign up for an event. It's pretty easy to find, download and read.

Pete, there's no update/backdate rule for ST.

ENTRANTS, AND NOT REGISTRATION NOR TECH INSPECTION, ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROPER CLASSIFICATION OF THEIR OWN VEHICLES. New competitors may receive classification assistance at Tech Inspection from the steward in the tech line.

There is update -- backdate in ST for brakes. I have read the rules everytime I consider a change in my car. I have not done some of these changes because of that but I don't think all drivers do that. They than end up with the ilegal cars.

I keep forgetting my last year position in ST1 has now become ST2.
