Scott Rosnick - where are you???
I called Hogan Tire earlier today looking for Scott and they said "He no longer works here"!!!! There goes my tire / suspension connection!
Does anyone know where he is working or know how to get in touch with him? I tired the last e-mail address I had for him & haven't gotten a response.
Thanks -

Scott's new gig
Scott's been kinda busy lately. He left Hogan to finally open his own shop.
Scott and Jamie Kekesian are partners in a new repair shop venture;
Fastrack Automotive
147 Summit street
Peabody MA
Phone 978-977-0707
email srosnick@fastrackservice.com
If you're familiar with the area it's easy to find. 128 North to Centennial drive exit, bear right coming off exit, turn left at first light, turn right at "T" intersection, shop is about 2 /10ths on the right, look for Capone's resturant, they are right behind it.
I'll let Scott do his own sales pitch from here....

New shop
Tom thanks for the intro and directions. Mark sorry about the lack of notice. It's been a hectic few weeks, but the shop is open. Not that Jamie or I had the time, but I really didn't want to use the forum to promote our business- at least excessively The shop is a 4800 sq. ft. open bay with 4 lifts currently and a 5th on the way. Coates 9024e tire machine (it's one of the best on the market), Hunter alignment machine and best of all a chassis dyno (soon). Everything is on top of an epoxy painted floor and the waiting area will rival most living rooms...60" Sony...real cream for the coffee...kid play area...basically all the types of things I wanted to do for the last 18 years at Hogan but couldn't.
We will be having our Grand Opening on Sat. Oct. 28th 12:00-4:00. All are invited. The grill will be fired up- the dyno should be in (not set up- but in). Come on down have a burger and a beverage- make Jamie and I jealous with your racing stories from the weekend before.
The directions are very easy. When you get off the Centennial Dr. Exit #28 it will naturally bring you to a light with a fork in the road. Bear left and 200 yards down will be Summit St. Take a right and we are 1/4 mile on the right directly behind Capone's Restaurant.

Joel this is very much a work in progress. We will be competitve for the market. We will be doing dyno-day cookouts as well...we have a blast at those. We also have a few other possible tricks up our sleeve as far as "guest" tuners go.jadams wrote:Do you have any idea what you will charge for dyno time yet? Just curious. I might need it if I ever get my enginer running again!

Hours
Thanks, Mike. You're not kidding about the hours. I thought I worked a lot managing someone elses shop. I guess we are still in the "honeymoon" stage because I haven't been this excited about going to work in a long time. I always thought I managed the Hogan Tire like it was my own- I really cared about what was happening- but it is different when you're the man...or one of them as the case may be.
I'll tell you one thing that will be printed for next year: the GONE RACING sign for the front door. It isn't going to be our only niche, but it certainly will be the common denominator with every employee we have- the passion for going fast and te ability to prep a safe/fast car.

Dyno
Keith, you would not believe how much we have been debating the 4wd dyno issue. It basically is the difference between $35-50k for a 2wd and $100k for the 4wd. We are not blind that there is a big awd market, but is it enough to justify the added expence? We know you guys are the type of drivers that would use a dyno regularly. I have heard about an awd dyno in Concord NH.- is that the closest to Peabody MA. ? Like I said the dyno decision is not done- it will happen, but the exact brand and type is not set in stone. We would like to have something in a crate, at least, for the open house 10/28- but that may be optimistic.

Scott and Jamie don't even try to calculate your hourly wage right now it depress you and we are pretty sure that it would be illegal to pay anyone that little. Over the winter maybe I will run my car down there to see what can be done. Do you work on the barter system?? Good luck and enjoy the benefits with us just moving our business to 2-1/2 times the size I know what you are going through. It will smooth out and run great in a few more months. Hopefully see you folks at Lime Rock

Troy, we are looking forward to it- unlike some of those so called tire shops out there. Hell you can even have your race rubber drop-shipped to us if that's easier.
Mike- I am going to miss my True Value (Dawsons in Beverly) they were 1/2 a mile down the street and still have an honest to goodness selection of metric/sae hardware. We haven't found such a source near our new shop. We will be happy to trade nuts and bolts for some wrenching on nuts and bolts
The feedback on the open house has been great, but there seems to be more response from the rotary guys...lets not let the pistonless crowd eat all the burgers
