T50 is going to be a hell of a class this year as folks get "better" at spending their points. Looking forward to another year of incredible competition.

What is that saying "sounds like you chose poorly"?
But i never would think a highly prepared NA with a pro built motor would be a poor choice.

I did the number on Steve's AKA FIRE BALLER's new to him SCCA ITA 1987 CRX si . it was also in T50 but for some reason he said he added up the number and it's a T30 classed car .
how ever there is no listing for the 1st gen CRX's so he is going to put the car in T40 .

with the diasio in super classes I have added a crap load of weight to the car to drop it down a class . this way if I want to wheel to wheel the car I can remove the weight . but for comscc I will add the weight and it puts me higher in the next lower class .

They list 88 CRX Si only, which has a base showroom assessment of 31.2 to start (T30). Then you go through the sheet tabs to determine the modification points. I'm not sure if there is much of any difference between an 87 & 88 CRX Si, but since there is no listing for the '87 he should get in contact with Nick F. & Chris Parson to work that out. You are shooting in the dark without a starting point. Be better to discuss now so there isn't alot of confusion at his first event. - Paul G.

the 1st gen has a 1.5 L motor for the CRX si up until the 1987's mid year in 1987 they went from the 1.5 to the 1.6 same basic motor . I looked for the motor numbers and could not see them . the stamping should be right at the belhousing .
I sent off a email a week ago to the head of tech to look at fire ballers car at the 1st event .
I guessed at some of the things like weight of the car at 2200 lbs . but it was in mid T50 . when I over looked some of the things it was high in T40 .
hell my almost stock 1993 Miata is 2 points from T40 .

I am gonna add 2250lbs of ballast to my car so that I can run in T50 too. Looks like a fun class. :D

In order to be fair Chad will be running the Integra in T50 while I'll be running it in Super D (on unrestricted tires and without balast) so everyone gets to share the vtec power :)

Of course this assumes the car is running by then, it still needs :
engine rebuilt to be fininshed/installed/tuned as it was a very tired engine at the end of last season.
new lower springs to be installed and alignment done, for the first time we will actually have an alignment on the car and some camber.
brake lines redone and bias valve put in so no more smoking rear tires into every corner.
