Sweet dates! Mosport and WGI for me for sure, Summit point would be a stretch for 2012, Already booked for Thunderbolt March 30, Selling the Fiance's house North of Toronto, moving her and getting married in the May-July window packs it up a bit...

It's a "rational" weekend. Driver chooses whether to run for regional or national points. Two quals on Sat and a 45 min race on Sunday.

Pertaining to the last survey question, can someone explain the difference between the 2nd and 3rd option and how there would be a time trial on both the 2nd and 3rd days?

On July 2nd, 3rd and 4th COM will host a three day event at NHMS. Which of the following formats most appeals to you:

Day 1: School, Day 2: School, Day 3: Morning Practice & Time Trial
Day 1: School, Day 2: Morning Practice & Time Trial, Day 3: Morning Practice & Time Trial
Day 1: School, Day 2: Morning Practice & Time Trial Day 3: Morning Time Trial & Afternoon Open Track (signed-off drivers

I'm thinking we have two sets of trophies, and that since we all practiced and ran the day before, no need to practice again the third day.

I marked mine option four

Day 1: Open Track (signed-off drivers Day 2:Open Track (signed-off drivers, Day 3: Morning Time Trial & Afternoon Open Track (signed-off drivers

I really like option 3, which includes the morning time trial on day 3. If its the typical July weather, we'd run in the hot afternoon sun on day 2, then run again on day 3, with hopefully cooler morning weather, and be able to compare the times. That was my vote.

Crap! That makes sense. I voted for the more traditional method without considering the weather.

Note that the dates (in the survey) are from 2010, the 2012 dates are Sat-Mon, Jun 30-Jul 2, not that it matters to this thread. The Board is primarily trying to decide whether to change the Time Trial points scoring, not the format of the "premiere" July event . . . not that member input is not worth having, I'm sure the Board will consider it (as distracting noise from the peanut gallery ha ha).

Will we be doing the relay again? There was no mention of it.
