Might as well get the ball rolling...are there any confirmed dates for next year at this time? Have the away tracks been determined yet?

What, no Mosport? It's a straight shot North, a mere 800 miles or so.

Why no love for Mt Tremblant?

I really enjoy Tremblant; it's too bad more don't make the trip.

I couldn't make it to Mosport on Mon.-Tue. last year, but got up there the next day, running open track with 6th Gear out of Toronto. Even though it was pretty cold to start, the rain had stopped, which was great, as I prefer learning a track in the dry before running it in the rain. That is one challenging track. I've never heard, but I've wondered how many offs there were in T2 on those two rainy days.

Mosport in the rain = non-stop Kegal excercises.

Turn 2 never really bothered me in the rain, but turn 4 scared the crap out of me both days and finally bit me. My first event with COM, first day solo and first on track experience in the rain:

Will, thanks for posting. It will be nice to get another hack at Mosport...hopefully in the dry. In spite of the "skills" we may have picked up in the wet, I know I'm looking forward to some dry days (maybe?) to experience a track that has 3 90-110mph turns...

One question - NHMS south oval was a great "new" (or old...) twist on a familiar track. Do you have a sense for whether or not we would run south or north oval next year for any of the NHMS dates?

Aw, that makes me very sad. :( Mont Tremblant is my favorite track, and I was looking forward to going back there next year. The last time I was there I wrecked my car, and I very much want to get back on that horse. Can I put in an early plea for 2013? :)

The rest of the schedule looks outstanding, though. Thanks for your efforts!

I know some people in the area around Summit Point from the consecutive years of SVTOA doing events at Shenandoah. If you have solid dates, I can try to see if we can boost participation with some of the locals..

That would be great. We WILL need locals not to lose money.

We used to have a contingent of Mid-Atlantic area Corvette owners that attended our events at Summit. Like WGI, Summit brings the power. It would be nice to meet some of those old friends again.

Tremblant is kind of a shame. We haven't closed our minds or doors on returning there, but our return does need to make financial sense. We've all heard the reports from other organizations who have held events there and lost tens of thousands of dollars in a single weekend. As a member-driven non-profit, we need to maximize our bang to buck ratio. It is too bad that other clubs haven't followed our lead.

NHMS - we will definitely have at least one event on the oval. It is already on the calendar. I'm hoping to run 2.
