Thanks to whomever gave our friend Nanu the ride along. He emailed me to thank the entire club, and he is looking for an NB Miata....

I gave three ride alongs, and all were a blast.
The first person was my wife who is always a good sport. It was her third time, and similar results were met... a huge grin!
Another guy (Mark) got a ride in my car until it boiled over. I think he felt ripped off and went to go find another ride.
With the third person, (Jan, who is Ivan's apprehensive wife) the Bakers offered the use of their car so that we could have a good, reliable, full session. Jan emerged relieved and surprisingly pleased, admitting that it was more fun than she expected.
Thanks Jeff and Liz for the car! (as a side benefit, I was finally able to drive something for an entire session!)
Keep those HLRA's coming, it is great fun!

Jeff, I took your friend, he seemed to have a good time.

I want to thank everyone that helped make the HLRA program a success at NHMS.

Mark kept bringing them and Instructors stepped up to take them out.

There maybe others, but I know Carl, Nate, Gordon and Troy did more than their fair share.

I would also like to give a big thanks to Liz Baker for the use of her helmet. If she wasn't using it, someone else was.

I don't know whose idea this was, but it is one of the best new things the club is doing. Sometimes we as competitors can get stressed out concentrating on our own thing. There is nothing that I can think of that immediately injects the fun factor back in than bringing someone who has never been to a track out for a ride.

I had a blast doing it, and look forward to a lot more in the future.

....also looking forward to another relay rally at some point..

Les, Thank YOU for organizing all of the ride-alongs, and Mark for processing the waivers and such during the weekend. This was a huge load lifted off of my shoulders!

We had the largest number of HLRA's in a single event ever. Probably two to three times as many as the previous record!
