LOL.

There is no set time, though we suggest having them arrive by 9AM or so. Ride along victims are welcome to spend the day with us, sit in on classroom sessions, browse the paddock, watch some action, and make themselves at home. Hot lap ride along participants (sorry, victims) are new club members, so we encourage them to spend some time among the other victims and inmates of the insane asylum (surely you've noticed all of the chain link fence at NHMS - now you know why it is there). ;)

If a victim cannot make it until the afternoon, that would be OK, however we'd need to know early. There are several planned for the day, so we need to plan and schedule ahead of time!

Cheers,

Bakers also believe we have seduced another victim. He will be at the drivers' meeting Saturday and will either confirm that he's nuts, or run away and scale the chain link fence himself.

I have just about convinced the wife to come and take a hot lap ride on Sunday. This is kind of a big deal for me considering that she has only ridden with me once before.....four years ago.....at Devens.....in the 03 Cobra. I'm stoked about it.

Some of my zanier in-laws pointed out that the term "Hot Lap Ride Around" can be taken more than one way. ("What's that you're proposing to do with my daughter??") 8)

So I have since been more careful in my language. I will be especially careful where Troy's wife is concerned.

Troy: if your wife is anything like mine, make sure that SOMEONE ELSE gives her the ride along so that she doesn't feel the need to yell at you for the entire session. Sick her on Wasilko 8)

I can hear it now "Make SURE you drive faster than that husband of mine, I need something to needle him about all winter"

Why do you think I wanted Liz to drive

To keep the tires round, Herr Spin-Doktor?

Oh, I kid, I kid! :D :D

There is no cut-off for pre-registration of HLRA victims, however late arrivals will likely need to bring their own chalk as we might be out of it by then. Note: we prefer white chalk for the outlines.

Victims arriving after lunch should bring their own barf bag, as we'll definitely be out of 'em by then. Note: soiled barf bags (or other soiled items!) are NOT eligible for recycling at the fluid shed.

I would suggest all victims check in during the morning, 1PM latest to guarantee a seat. A later check-in is possible, though it gets tough as we have to wait for the fleet of ambulances to return from the ER before taking out the next round of victims.

Tom Mac: As always, preference and preferential treatment are given to those victims that bring (and share) a batch of home made brownies!

Nice.

No spins at WGI or NJMP, right! It is only tying to keep up with the inappropriately classed 99 Miatea at NH. :D Hey, I have learned to spin in 3 planes!

I lost count of how many hot lap rides I did, but they were a blast.

My wife Robin was really excited about going for a ride on Sunday. I told her the same thing I tell the other HLRA passengers.. "Thumbs up every now and then to make sure you're good to go"....."thumbs down if you feel uncomfortable, or nauseous, and we'll slow up and come right in." Robin makes a loose fist gesture with the index finger making a circle shape with the thumb and says "This is the hand signal for when you are a pussy!!"

I was surprised that she never used it. In fact, she didn't do much talking at all. We pull back in the garage and she pulls the helmet off and says..."Wow..this is nothing like Devens." LOL
