Monti (blah). I hope it stays where it is. Not worth driving to, staying at, driving at and eating the 15 dollar plastic grilled burgers they sell there.

I say, NJMP 2x. Why not a 4 day event? :) 2 days at Lighting, 2 at Thunder. A lot of other local clubs do the two day so the 'drive' is def worth. Granted, with COM becomes a 4 day event, but i would do it. Wouldnt you?

BTW: Bring back the relay!

Ooh, 4 days at NJMP could be quite interesting!

+1 on the relay. I didn't actually drive in the last one, but it was great fun to watch.

I'd also be cool with doing more at NJMP.

I would go for two WGI especially if one of them can be directly after the vintage event (like this year).
I can't wait to try relay. This year I had broken axle so I could not participate. :(

Can anyone recommend a motel/hotel that near Monticello? One where I don't need to look over my shoulder in the parking lot or worry about my race car getting jacked off the trailer overnight?

i've only stayed at:

The Lodge at Rock Hill (845) 796-3100 (10 minutes - Ask for MMC guest discount)

it was decent (which isn't saying much for the area).

I stayed at the Super 8.. Avoid it. The parking lot is too dark, and the fish smell in the rooms can not be masked by anything.
