It could end up being the fastest car GM ever built. Sure would be cool to take it for a weekend test drive..

No problem Mark. I am sure the COM Time Trialing License would be just the ticket to getting a test drive. :D

Isn't that what the car is built for?

Hmm...I dunno...the ZR1 experience will be very hard to duplicate in a pro stock, at any cost..
They are very cool looking and performing Corvettes, and I would love to see one run with COM...but chances are,we won't see one on track, ever. What a shame..

One of our friends just had two Camaros built with LS9s and paddleshifters. Both were at Sema. They're like 7 or 900 hp.. something esoteric. I think that the ZR1 would tear everyone a new one on the track.

Too bad we will never see one on track.... 99.9% of them will never leave their garages. :(

Your wish is my command.. Here is a ZR1 on track...driven rather well.. The chase car is 04 Cobra driven by a buddy of mine.. The flea market situation at around 3:12 gives the Corvette an opportunity to cut across a coned chicane.. I can't really make much sense of the lines my friend is driving....particularly the first real left hander in the vid.

I did say rather.....

I'm sure it is more capable.....but I think the car is driven well enough in a DE context and among the group around them. You can't really expect a guy that just spent a small fortune on a machine like that to be pushing 10/10..

....well...I guess I can expect that in your case.... How many times did you say you spun out at a DE? ;)
