*This* would not bump me out of SPC, but other things might. ;)

Dave, Troy, I think a couple guys like yourselves would be able to handle this nicely. As I said above, I can help get it off the ground.

There would be no additional fees or charges!

If not, sorry, sounds like you are looking for the "Corolla Challenge". ;)
:D Just kidding - no, I won't bring my 'rolla this season (except as a substitute car maybe) and won't drive Ivy's Miata. Hope to bring my new car - not a Corolla, but basically a sporty version thereof. Yes, even sportier than a Corolla...

Will, saw this thread and thought you might want to see this:
http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=360816

It looks like they are in the process of organizing an East Coast region for the MC. I haven't read much of this either; but thought it sounded like alot of fun and if members here actually participated (while practicing/participating with COM) that it be a great way to promote the club on a regional/national level.

Liz says that she wants +1 point for non-male driver. I want a +1 consideration for being 6-foot plus and managing to get into the damn thing! We're up for it, and we've got a better opportunity to help out this season than last.

See you all at the dinner.

Sounds good, Jeff & Kai.

Paul - thanks for the link. Yes, I read that. However, by "East Coast", it appears that they (NASA) are predominantly looking at Mid-Atlantic and southern states. Us Northeasterners (pun intended, Paul ;)), especially New Englanders, usually get left out, Canucks too!

NHMS, NJMP, Mt Tremblant, and WGI will likely be unique to COM. Not to mention Mosport & Calabogie, when we finally get back there. ;)

"excessive rice" sounds intriguing. I've been looking at the same rather boring Formula Ford for almost 30 years, now I feel sort of inspired.

I could buy a junk Miata, then move over the FF parts and then take out the extra stuff - maybe about 3000 lbs. worth.

Now that Mick came clean about the bimmer, I can say :D ... 99 Civic SI, previously ran SSC with SCCA. Caged and all. Will be SSB with COM, though...

^Yes, especially so because spare parts have to be stock... plan to also run it with SCCA in SSC.

Checking tire rack ... a stock replacement rotor is $40 front, $25 rear - if you splurge and get Brembo!!! :D

Impressive what Honda did with a little 1.6L - balanced crankshaft, 160 HP, redline at 8000, cutoff at 8500  - goes into VTEC at 5500 - and has a stock sports suspension - it's the sporty version of the 'rolla that Toyota never made ...
