I would try it cw. You would judge the risk factor and drive acordingly. The only problem would be novices. However, they would be with instructors.
It's not what you drive, it's how you drive. "Lap times matter"

Chuckle! The novices would be the safest groups cause they don't have those bad "let me at it" attitude/habits of you low flying circus drivers!breakaway500 wrote:I would try it cw. Re: Running NHMS clockwise
I have spun my cars a few times on track.I have never hit anything other than bugs,(got stung once ) and have posted some respectable times,in three different cars .
I'd say I was doing pretty damn good,Sam,for a "circus" act
If it was announced that a particular NHMS event was going to be run CW, then people could decide if they would like to attend by showing up..or not. I still would like to know if the track would even allow it. Might all just be a moot point.

In my opinion it would definitely "change it up." My only concern would be most of the drive in's would be down hill and are turning. going into "3" down the hill would be a challenge and if any brake failures occurred there is nothing good to hit.
Re: Running NHMS clockwise
I ran the old Bryar course for many years, and what is now turn 3 was awkward, but not a big problem. However, that was before the road course transitioned into the oval. Now, coming down the hill into the transition onto the oval would seem to be very stressfull to suspensions. It's bad enough going up hill.
