The COM rule book states this regarding spoilers in Street Touring classes:
Aftermarket aerodynamic devices are prohibited with the exception of front air dams/spoilers and rear spoiler,
unless a factory option. Front air dam must be fixed and positioned no lower than bottom of wheel
I understand this to mean that except for the height requirement and being fixed, front spoilers are unrestricted, correct? Do splitters fall into the category of "air dams/spoilers," or are those something different?
At Tremblant I was convinced that adding something to the font of my Miata's currently naked nose would in fact make a difference. I just want to make sure I understand the rule correctly before going wild with the front of my car.

keep in mind, it is hard to creat downforce, it is easy to increase drag.
The factory lip is a good compromise, the Garage Vary piece is a bit better IMHO.
