That was only my second trip to Mosport - I hadn't learned about running flat over the crest of 2.

As much fun as Mosport is, it hasn't been kind to me over the years. Blew a tire in 2, blew the motor, then had a CPU issue that wouldn't let the car go over 120mph. Looking for an uneventful trip!

Carl, can you borrow Joe's car and pitch it into turn 2 without lifting - i.e., WOT from 10 to 3? :D

I think Paddy tried that, with mixed results.

Guess I haven't been messing with Subarus long enough to have that kind of souvenir in my garage  I'm pretty good at detonating v8s, though.

Awesome news Dan, and nice truck! You are going to love Mosport!

The track is run clock-wise, so pit wall is to the right (passenger side) as you cross start-finish.

Yes Dan, you will love it. You should be able to cord your left front tire in about 8 laps!

BTW, what has been said about WOT over (thru?) turn 2 is correct if you want fast lap times. I knew my competition was running a second or more fast than I was when I looked at my lap timer at the end of lap 2. I found 2 full seconds on that last lap and damn near scared the crap out of my self by doing most of it in turn 2 at WOT. But --sigh-- Grippy still beat my time. I believe he runs flat out - no lift - from T10 to T5A

I don't know about diesel, but there are a few gas stations about 4-5 miles east of the track on a divided highway that runs North-South. Then you need to go farther south to get off and go north again, so that you get back to the road that goes west to the track. Its about a 15 minute round trip, exluding fill time. There may be other gas stations closer but I haven't been adventurous enough to find them.

And by the way, Kieth, I don't need my cpu to keep me under 120mph, the car does that on its own.

Carl, Carl!! You forget so quickly drafting the Grocery Getter up the back straight at WGI? My speedo was over 125, and the grin on your face looked like about 130!

There's a much closer gas station about three miles east of the track, at the intersection of Boundary Road (20) and Route 35:

Thanks for the info . I will bring 4 - 6gal gas cans instead of the 2 I usually carry.

I'm not sure about this flat out thing through turn 2 yet. I've asked for an instructor (poor guy who gets stuck with me )the first time arround.

I'm on an economy kick, I figure is I never go faster than 55 mph my fuel economy should go from 4 mpg to 20 mpg  So those four gas cans would be like having 20 gas can if I drove like i usually do
