Neither...lesson learned so no need to stack then in front of the straight wall... Locking it up? nooooooooo, he needs to go back to his "Subie groove": take tires out, bleed brakes, put tires back on...take 2 laps on the track... take tires out, bleed brakes, put tires back on... take 2 more laps... you know the drill eh?nhsilversti wrote:with raj going and me carring his tires up for him should i;

With the 92db limit at Tremblant, what's the easiest way to prepare to be quieter? I've heard about steel wool, so that'll be packed and with me. How might you keep it in there though?
I *should* be fine since I have two mufflers on my car (one per outlet) but I want to be prepared in case.
BTW: It's a 1988 RX7 turbo, modified stock turbo (clipped turbine and 60-1 compressor), downpipe, most likely hollow cat, and Turbo Tuf (IIRC, it's been a loong time since I looked) cat-back.
Thanks!

I put one of these on the exhaust exit. I leave the flange on the car all the time, its welded on. I install the baffles at tracks with a noise limit, or else I completely remove them so it is an open hole at tracks that don't care.

To be honest, it sounds bad, but I don't get black flagged for noise anymore. It looks bad too, perhaps I should get a clamp-on style.

That is where the lock wire comes in. Drill a series of holes around your exhaust tip, stuff in the steel wool and run the wire between the holes to form a "net" to hold in the steel wool. It all goes back to the 1960's, believe it or not.jrussell wrote:With the 92db limit at Tremblant, what's the easiest way to prepare to be quieter?
