Calabogie - Track Guide page needed
Calabogie - Track Guide page needed
Does anyone want to volunteer to write a Track Guide page for Calabogie?
Doesn't have to be too in depth, and you could use one of the existing Track Guides as a template.

Let me know.

I know that we want to write our own track guide (though I'm not volunteering to be the one). But there is a track guide that someone else has written that seems to be pretty good, if I'm remembering the track well enough from last year: http://trackpedia.com/wiki/Turn_by_turn ... Park_track
It might make good reference material for someone writing a COM-specific one.

Also, as some found out last year, there is a strictly adhered to DB limit!

I wonder if Bruce still holds the overall track record there..
You guys remember of the instructors named Daria? Well, he liked my Alfa and actually bought one in Canada (Dutch Blue GTV). Hopefully if has less body roll.

The one on their web site is pretty detailed
http://www.calabogiemotorsports.com/con ... 1/lang,en/
Is there any legal issue with a copy/ paste of that? I haven't driven it yet (next month) so can't attest to it's accuracy.

We don't need a turn-by-turn walk through of our own. We could just link off to the existing ones.
All we need a page that follows our existing format.
http://www.comscc.org/events/track-information/
- Title
- Description (links to track guides)
- Directions
- Tips (db limits ect...)
- Food & Lodging (links to hotel recommendations, dining...)
- Contact Information

i KNEW i should have taken that left turn at AlbuquerqueMark Swinehart wrote:It is pretty easy to get lost on that track even when you have a map and are riding with an Instructor.
What? You mean my Garmin GPS can't give me turn-by-turn directions? Darn lousy POS!!!Mick wrote:Haha. Right.
Maybe we should offer "dash size" printable maps.
Seriously, i agree, it took me quite a few laps to finally figure out where what was and to have faith that even though i could see NOTHING entering and going around Big Rock corner there would be tarmac so keep the throttle flat out.
