Does anyone want to volunteer to write a Track Guide page for Calabogie?
Doesn't have to be too in depth, and you could use one of the existing Track Guides as a template.

I know that we want to write our own track guide (though I'm not volunteering to be the one). But there is a track guide that someone else has written that seems to be pretty good, if I'm remembering the track well enough from last year: http://trackpedia.com/wiki/Turn_by_turn ... Park_track

You guys remember of the instructors named Daria? Well, he liked my Alfa and actually bought one in Canada (Dutch Blue GTV). Hopefully if has less body roll.

<p>Calabogie Motorsports Park is a recently built race track located 60 miles west of Ottawa, Ontario. Calabogie features a 3.05 mile,
40-foot wide, 20-turn road course with 65 feet of elevation change and paved with a modern polymer modified asphalt.</p>

<p>There is only one road course configuration used by COMSCC and it is run in a clockwise direction.</p>

<p>From Western New England and New York To Calabogie, Ontario:</p>
<ul class="style3">
<li>Go West on I-90 to New York State Thruway heading toward Buffalo, NY</li>
<li>Exit NYS Thruway for North on I-81 to Canada</li>
<li>Go West on Thousand Islands Bridge (approx. 1.5 miles) to Provincial Hwy 401</li>
<li>Go East on Provincial Hwy 401 for approximately 9 miles</li>
<li>Exit onto CR-5 and go north approximately 25 miles to Hwy 15 .</li>
<li>Go East on Hwy 15 approximately 5.5 miles and exit left onto CR-1.</li>
<li>Follow CR-1for approximately 11 miles to Hwy-511.</li>
<li>Follow CR-511 for approximately 40 miles to Calabogie.</li>
</ul>
<p>From Northern or Eastern New England, you go up through Vermont into Canada and Montreal before heading west.</p>
<ul class="style3">
<li>Go north on I-89 thru Vermont to the Canadian border</li>
<li>Continue North on Rt-133 toward Montreal for approximately 28 miles </li>
<li>Go West on Aut-35 across the Pont Champlain bridge</li>
<li>Take exit 18-Ouest to merge onto Aut-10, go for 13 miles</li>
<li>Aut-10 merges with Aut-15. Continue North on Aut-15 for approximately 7.5 miles</li>
<li>Take exit 70-Ouest to merge onto Aut-40, continue for 41.6 miles</li>
<li>Continue on the Transcanadian highway (aka Hwy 417) 121 miles, thru Ottawa to Calabogie.</li>
<li>Exit left onto Calabogie Road, (last chance for gasoline and diesel is here) and follow 14.6 miles into Calabogie.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Helpful Hints</h2>
<ul class="style3">
<li>It is advisable to obtain an insurance card from your insurance company covering your auto while in Canada.
Also, you should have a complete listing of all equipment being brought into the country (parts, tools, tires, etc).</li>
<li>Do not bring a radar detector into Canada, as they are illegal and will be confiscated if found.</li>
<li>There is no leaded gas in Canada. Bring your own racing gas, but only enough for the event.</li>
</ul>

<p>From what we understand, there aren't a lot of choices for motels in the area around the track. Here is a list to try:</p>

Seriously, i agree, it took me quite a few laps to finally figure out where what was and to have faith that even though i could see NOTHING entering and going around Big Rock corner there would be tarmac so keep the throttle flat out.
