Re: Harness for Passenger
I ended up buying 2" for both seats. I figure it'll be easier to sell once I'm solo across all clubs and I install a petty bar so the seat won't be used any longer.

Re: Harness for Passenger
I'm hoping the need for a passenger belt and seat is short-lived. I'd really like to put the petty bar in place which can't be done if I have a passenger. I'll be using a 2" because of the HNR but continue to be perplexed by the gap in rules and lack of clarity on this topic. I really wish ther...

Re: Harness for Passenger
So I'll have an appropriate harness for HNR but I think having a 2" could be a problem so I'll go with 3". I just don't want my car to fail inspection because the safety equipment isn't the same for both seats.

Harness for Passenger
Looking for some input before I buy new harnesses. I'll be installing one for the passenger, and I'm unsure what to do regarding 2" vs 3" shoulder belts. I'm using the Schroth SHR system, which can be used with both size belts, but I know some are meant to be used with 2" (I'll be goi...

Re: 2021 Events
Thanks - does it matter how long ago it was that I had my TT license?

2021 Events
I was looking at MotorsportReg, and noticed all of the current events are only for existing members of COM with TT license, or other recent experience. I ran with COM for a couple years and had a TT license but know its now lapsed. Are there any events I can join this coming year? Appears not based ...

Re: Harness Mounting
No, the lap belts are connected to the same mounting adapter, but not the bolts that connect the mounts to the floor.

Re: Harness Mounting
Right now everything has been disassembled as I rebuild the interior for spring. For mounting, I'm using harness specific hardware bolted into an extra seat mounting location on each side. Each of the floor mounts have a variety of bolt holes pre-drilled for seat position adjustment. I used the 2 mo...

Harness Mounting
Looking for some help with how to interpret the rules regarding how race harnesses are mounted. I had originally built the car to leverage my seat adapters for mounting harnesses. They're VAC motorsport adapters that mount to the stock floor mounting points but are thick aluminum - not the seat brac...

Re: Harness Mounting
I'd rather not use a standard belt in the car with no airbags. Seems like a bit of a risk. At this point, I'm probably just going to get some DOT legal 4 points for the road and attach them to the same spot as my race harnesses. Was just hoping to get by with 1 set of harnesses in the car. Given the...

Harness Mounting
I've been struggling with the rule change recently that requires a minimum 5-point harness if the air bags have been removed and the seats are fixed-back. I have both fixed back and no air bags. I had intended to install 4-point ASM type harnesses since the car is street driven, and has a track roll...

Trailer Input
Curious about trailer capacities and variations between "utility" and "car" trailers. I've found a really nice looking utility trailer with a GVW up to 5k lbs, that weighs just under 1k lbs - so it could hold up to a 4k lb car. Having a car that is only 2700 without driver, it se...

Wanted: Open Car Trailer
Looking for a basic open trailer - prefer a very basic aluminum over steel. Must have brakes, and recent state registration, appropriate documentation, etc. Either message me here or via email at dcteague at comcast.net.

Re: Items on Ebay, trailer stuff & Miata NA/NB parts
Is there a trailer for sale or is it limited to trailer accessory items? Interested in a trailer if you have one for sale.
