LRP Camping & Early Drop-off

Post by deimos » Wed Nov 15, 2006 5:46 pm

Sorry for the late notice, I just received confirmation from the track an hour ago.

1) Camping is not allowed at LRP during our event. You will be forcibly removed.

2) Trailers may be dropped off, in the A paddock only, after 6 PM EST Thursday the 16th.

3) The track will open at 6:30 AM EST on both days. You will have to sign a waiver to enter the track.

Otherwise, enjoy!

They should be open until 10 PM EST. The normal security staff was let go for the winter. They've hired a temp staff for our event.

Andrew, any idea if the lunch counter will be open with hot food?

The food counter at lime rock will be open. I know of the people who work it.

Well, I guess I'll find out when I pull up to the gate around 7. I don't think the place I'm staying at has room for vehicles & trailers.

zip4zat appears to have it correct, they are (according to a lady I just spoke to at LRP) CLOSING at 600PM, reopenning at 630AM.
Oh well, there will not be a rush to register like NHIS.

I think we have over 100 people signed up. While it won't be as nutty as NHIS, it'll still be nutty enough.

I bet if you flat foot through Downhill, you'll see 140 before braking for Big Bend. I KEED I KEED!

No, in the Miata. There was just barely enough grip in the track where it was flat in my Miata on the 3rd session on Friday. It did involve using most of the track out curb, though.

Though I figure Raj's car has a low 1:01 in it, the downhill would not be flat.

That sucks during the time trials I looked at my Heads up display and I saw 106 at the turn in for the down hill  It was a little fast because the car won't hold and bobbled right before track out, so maybe 103-104 is the number. During lapping I was around 93-96 mph there
