Lemons Feeler

Post by TXBDan » Tue Apr 30, 2019 2:52 pm

Hey all,

I took my first hit off the Lemons crack pipe over the weekend and... i think i'm hooked. I thought i'd put a feeler out for anyone with open seats/stints/teams or possibly even starting up a team.

I have time, budget, small 2-car garage, "enthusiast" level wrenching skills, electrical skills, organization/management skills, and am generally responsible. I don't have a truck or trailer, welding/metal fab skills, or enough beer.

Ha, indeed. It was the 24hr'er at CMP. Driving in the dark at a track you've never been to before is wild! I managed to run decent times and not screw anything up so i call it a win. Unfortunately the car didn't last the full race. My friends other car didn't make it either. It was rough.

I would be interested if you start a team! I have a truck, no trailer (yet), some metalworking/welding skills and equipment, but no garage. Do E30s still get crazy penalty laps these days? I have a bone stock one with questionable cosmetics that has been laying dormant for like 5 years.

I have a 1984 Pontiac Fiero roller ...Lemons roller available for someone who is interested in taking over the project.
It has a "halo" roll cage installed. Interior totally stripped clean.
Def will need some dedicated work....but it's all GM parts.
Comes with a 4cyl "Iron Duke" motor (condition un-known, was supposed to have been running. It's mated to a AT transmission, still on the cradle.
Also comes with a separate 5 speed transmission.

This is certainly a project.

But if you are interested in taking it over, come over and take it away. My next step is calling the salvage yard, which i would rather not have to.
Bring beer!

Reading this post, watching a race team take shape... I'm convinced I have seriously misplaced priorities.

Give'r hell, boys.
