Rule Change #13: Factory hard-tops for rollover protection

Old Rule: All convertible and open cars regardless of class. Convertibles may not use removable hardtops as a substitute for roll bars

Proposed New Rule:
Would like to request a change that factory hardtops are ok to use. At least for HPDE events. For example, my sister has a MR2 Spyder with a factory hardtop. I'm trying to get her more involved, but she hasn't been able to sign up with COMSCC because of this rule. She has been doing some events with other orgs, but COM is definitely the best. We spoke with Nelson Barros about this specific topic and it seems to be a grey area in the rule book. Thank you.
