Mt. Tremblant BIG THANKS!

Post by deimos » Mon Aug 07, 2006 12:08 am

A big thanks to Clare, the Herricks, and the two BMW guys (whose names escape me at the moment) for working pit out nearly all day each day. I greatly appreciate it and owe you each at least a fine beer or two.

Thanks!

+1

I had an absolute blast.

Also, I want to publicly apologize to anyone who might have slotted in behind the #431 Blue Mustang Cobra and choked on the smoke I was making.

I think I may have over filled the diff due to the car not being level when I filled it. The preliminary examination looked like I was blowing the excess right out of the vent and it was dripping onto my exhaust tubes where it got cooked later into the session.

I feel particularly bad for the poor guy in the #270 red Mustang (his name escapes me, sorry) He spent quite a few laps behind me before I got black flagged for the smoke.. I think he said his eyes were tearing up.. I never noticed that the smoke was so bad..

Again... my apologies to all..

I also had a great time and my hats are off to the organiziers and instructors and also to the folks of Mont-Tremblant faciliaty and all the corner workers. I had a BLAST!! Also would like to Thank Chris my instructor for having the **lls to jump in with some one he never knew before Thur. It takes alot to get into a car or truck with someone and go out onto a race track and run at speed.

Thanks again to everyone!!!

Similar thanks from this COM newbie (driving the slow brownish MINI Cooper, the non supercharged one).

Sorry to all the Miatae (and others) that I held up out there, especially to those that were surprised to see my brake lights while I was going down the hill into turn three. Some day I'll get some RA1s.

LOL
I still have GREAT RESPECT for ALL INSTRUCTORS for getting into some strangers car and going out onto a race track.

Does anyone know what the times were for the Truck (Lightning) or when they are going to post the times?

Thanks Chuck
