Hello folks! So 2016 season started last weekend with a successful test day at Canaan Raceway Park. Seemed like those who attended enjoyed seeing fellow competitors, learning the new track, flagging, and driving again (I know I did). Thanks to ALL the volunteers who helped get this first event under our belt.
I wanted to send a few updates.
1. Early Membership Packages: The packages are currently being worked on and my hope is to mail a majority if not all of the packages by the end of May. The t-shirt order is placed and I am printing out licenses as I type this. This year is the largest order I’ve dealt with (about 378 packages) which is exciting! As a twin I never liked having the same shirt as my brother, but for COMSCC I guess it is OK to have the same shirt as so many other members. I wanted to thank you all for your early registrations (this helps with securing track dates and deposits for them) and for your patience waiting for them to arrive.
2. Our first competition event will take place next weekend (May 7th & 8th) at NHMS. Keep an eye out for the forum post from Sam regarding track entry, etc.
Also, now would be a great time to download the Car Classification Tool from our website and submit your sheet to rules@comscc.org (Nick Fontana). These sheets are required to compete in the time trial on day 2 of the event so it would be great to get your sheet submitted prior to the event. You can always review any questions you might have with Nick or another steward prior to or at the event. Here is a link to the rules page: http://www.comscc.org/rules/
3. Registration for our 2nd event (June 4th & 5th) at Palmer Motorsports Park is open on Motorsportsreg.com

Please note that garages are available for this event, but the registration and payment is being handled by the track. You can register for a garage on the track website.
4. Our next BOD meeting is on Thursday May 19th, 2016 at Salvatore's Restaurant in Andover, MA. The meetings begin at 7:30pm but most arrive early for dinner prior to starting the meeting.
