COMSCC YT Channel

Post by TroyV » Wed Jan 13, 2016 11:52 am

Hi Folks,

I am in the process of creating an official COMSCC YouTube channel. I will be putting together playlists by season and selecting in car videos I find from COM events over the years to get things into one place. This is meant to be a resource for the membership to have a place to see various drivers at the various tracks where we have been. We will also use the channel as a promotional tool for new people who are curious about what we do.

If there are specific videos you want on these playlists, feel free to send me links via PM....or post them here. Don't bother embedding them...just post the links.

Also... as a guideline, in the future, when posting new videos, it would make things easier if COMSCC were somewhere in the title.

Can I make a suggestion that the videos include some sort of data overlay also?
I find it hard to watch & learn from videos without it (except be familiar with the track layout).

Good idea. Sounds cool. :D

Def should have overlay with the video, for the most part. But some users may not have data systems and have good video.

Great idea Troy, I don't do many videos but here is one from our last event at Watkins Glen Sept, 2014. I don't do all the data stuff but I think the times were in the 2:09 second range.

I plan to have the channel up with some play lists in place over the weekend. I have gotten several links via PM... Keep it up!

This is what it looks like initially. I may move things around to be more useful, like say....perhaps make track specific play lists etc..

Keep the links coming and I'll add them to the various play lists..

Hi Sam,

This is for a YouTube channel. Do you have any links to share from there and not Vimeo?

My pleasure. Stuff like this is pretty easy to put together... and if it helps the members by having a common reference point to search for relevant videos, while being a free service to the club, I'm all for it.
