I hear ya. I did Whiskey Hill on Friday and this weekend is their last event of the year..so the DTs are already starting to happen. :(

I wonder if Fred would open for a snow event…and although I hate the cold..I would go..! :D :sunny: (not with the Atom,though..)

I know Heath runs his WRX in an ice racing series. I think it is this one: http://www.icerace.com/pdf/2016Rules.pdf which is the one I've been wanting to run for a while now.
I've been looking for a cheap-o car to do this over this winter. Suzuki Swift would be my weapon of choice although secretly I want to run the mustang - ha ha

Ice racing used to be a regular mid winter event for COM, remember it fondly. I remember something about the lake didn't freeze, a wonderful huge lamb roast crusted in black pepper and something about a great deal of alcohol...

I also hate the cold !

to ice race you don't really need some beater car you would be very surprised to see how nice some of the cars are and what types of cars are running .
last season my friend and I used his stock 2013 VW GTI with just snow tires . it's not like what you thing driving on ice is . the traction was pretty dam good better then we have on our snow covered road (in CT any ways ) .
it was cold real cold at 13 degrees I had on two pairs of long underwear and a double layer fire suit with a heavy winter coat . when your in the car the heat is cranking full blast and I had the big propane heater with us for when we were not driving and hanging out in the pits .
this season we are going to use my gay Ferrari (Miata) with the skinny rims I have from my old 1st gen scirocco and Hakkapeliitta non studded snows .

I used the excuse of not wanting to race the Mustang to get a 1983 Volvo 242 DL :)
