Canaan - September 19 Track Test

Post by chaos4NH » Wed Sep 16, 2015 8:16 am

Hi Paul,

Please send the following information for the 9/19 event at Canaan.

1. Gates open at 700AM
2. Registration from 700AM to 800AM
3. Tech from 700AM to 815AM
4. Lunch from 1200 to 100. The local store/deli will have food available for lunch and coffee and muffins in the AM. Recommend we support the local business!
5. Event over at 500PM.
6. Directions form South: Rte 93 N to Rte 89 N. Off at exit 17 onto Rte 4 S. Continue on Rte 4 through Enfield. Left on Route 118 in Canaan. Track on right @ 2 miles.
7. IF you use GPS directions when using Rte 4 off Rte 93(also an exit 17!!) in Boscawen/Penacook watch out, your GPS will take you on a dinky dirt road around the mountain!. Best just to shut off GPS, stay on Rte 4 N through Andover, New London, etc. In Canaan you will go right on Rte 118, a mile or so later track is on the right.
8. Enter 2nd gate at the speedway. Plenty of parking, but give priority to those bringing trailers.
9. Again, recommend we use the local store/deli for coffee/muffins and lunch.
10. We must provide our own flagger, so plan on volunteering.
11. No fuel available at the track.
12. There is a building we can use for registration and lunch.

NOW...........maybe most important! The DB limit is 96! No exhaust turn downs allowed! One shot at it and you are OUT!.

Sam
I thought it might be good to let every one know that the ramp to rt 4 off of 89 is a HUGE down hill with a turn at the bottom so take it easy with trailers....
