GoPro Mounts

Post by imgon » Tue Jun 23, 2015 7:22 pm

I want to get roll cage and suction cup mounts for a gopro. Which ones work, which ones don't? How is the audio, is an external mic needed? If so recommendations on those as well. Planning in getting an extra battery, anything else that is needed? Thanks.

The best suction cup mounts I have used have been from RAM. I have one for my Aim Solo, and for the Iphone 5 that I use to control the GoPro. All you need is a gopro adapter to attach it to the RAM mount.

Thanks Troy, that looks like it will adjust more than the gopro unit does and its cheaper.

I use the GoPro suction cup mounts for my professional video work. They are good above 140-mph for extended periods, much faster than that and you really have to tighten the adjustment screws or the wind will push the camera backwards and forwards.

I have never, ever had a GoPro suction mount come loose, even in the rain. I used to tether them, and now I don't bother.
