Re: 1965 mustang fastback on craigslist
That's the "broken snake" racing car. It's been on CL for a while now, at $ 20k and needing to be re-fit for a non-hc driver, it will be there a while longer.

No Don Pierce had the red Mustang Cobra that Richard Murphy bought this past year from Craig Herrick.
I don't remember his name but the fellow who had that GT350 style Mustang was handicapped and had a Bluebird Wonderlodge with an elavator for his wheel chair. He also had another Mustang that was a newer (1969 or 1970) Shelby convertable with a full roll cage and hand controls.

I remember his other Mustang. I'm pretty sure it was a red, mid 90's fox body convertible. I did talk to him one day he when he had the red convertible there, he was quite a nice guy. Then again, I wouldn't think the guys who had to follow him around in run group 3 would think so.

Re: 1965 mustang fastback on craigslist
I have purchased the 1965 Mustang GT 350R clone from the owner on Craigs List and plan to have the car at the August 1-2 Palmer time trial event.
I am having the 289 stroked engine refreshed by Jim Reid Sr. at Reid Automotive in Whitman MA, which is one of the premier performance shops in New England.
The car has an SCCA full roll cage, fuel cell, fire suppression system, and sophisticated suspension and brakes.
The car was built about 20 years ago, and only used 12 times by the owner who kept it garaged for most of its life.
I may decide to sell my MGC GTS Sebring race car at the end of this season if the Mustang proves to be as much fun as I hope it will be.
