arrive early?
Will the track (mosport) let you in if you were to arrive on saturday instead of sunday for the com event . Tim D.
there is a BMW DE school going on over the weekend. If you are just looking to park your trailer or just hang around, I don't think anyone from the club will object to it as long as you stay out of trouble and don't hog someone's favourite parking spot. They have improved the parking facitities by paving a large section of what used to be grass in the infield area (near the showers). I think as long as you don't park your rig in the immediate paddock areas closest to the track, you're probably okay. You can always move to a more convenient location on Sunday evening after the BMW event is over. If you're hauling a big trailer make certain you arrive at the track before 9am or after 5pm. They sometimes open the access gates during lunch break (around 12 or so) to allow people to cross the track with their trailers. There will be someone at the main entrance gate (#3) requesting you to sign the track waiver. They won't care if you're with BMW or not. Their job is just to make certain anyone entering the track facility signs the waiver. There won't be any BMW people at the gate to check up on you (ie, to make sure you belong to the club). There are a few good spots that you can watch the cars on track; at the top of turn 2, top of turn 5 (but its a bitch to get at!) and at the top of hill at turn 8/9.
