More Torque & More Horsepower

Just think of the machinery needed to make all those parts! Where do you find a lathe to make a 200 ton crankshaft?

Yes, cool article, but I was curious about the use of the units mentioned here:
"After many thousands of nautical miles, actually calculated by engine/hours"
It sounds like one season I had with my RX7 when I went through several engines per hour of track time.
