e46 in stock class?

Post by robster707 » Mon Sep 17, 2012 6:51 pm

My e46 is completely stock with the exception of my wheels.

Stock size is 205/55 with 16" x 7" rims.

I just bought some wheels and put rubber on them. The new dimensions are:

New Size is 225/50 with 16"x 7.5" rims.

Will this knock me out of stock class?

Thanks!

Disregard this post. There was a discrepancy between what the seller of the rims told me the size was and what is printed on the inside of the rim.

Hey Rob - there was a sport package available in 2005 on your base model that had 17" wheels, I believe 7.5" wide. My interpretation is that you'd be fine running 7.5" wide in either a 16" or 17" diameter.
