Section VII - Driver requirements

I. COMSCC Licenses are issued for an initial period of three (3) years. Following the initial three (3) year period,
licensed members must participate in at least one (1) COMSCC event per year to maintain an active license. At the
discretion of the Chief Instructor, members whose licenses have elapsed may be required to attend a COMSCC event as
a Student in order to reactivate their license.
So basically you should expect that you might have to go through a school event to get reactivated, but that's up to Will :)

It's never a bad idea to have someone else in the car for a bit especially if you've been out for a while. Got to re-break all the bad habits you fall back on :o

Welcome back!!

Any first-time participant with COM, or any member that has taken a long hiatus from COM, signs up as a student, regardless of previous experience with COM or other organizations.

All students will have an instructor in the car with them for a long or as little is required. Some just require a check ride to verify the driver's driving skill and ability to follow club rules (play nice with others). Some may require a full day of instruction or longer. It depends on the driver.

It is not uncommon for a first-time COM participant with a lot of previous experience to be licensed after a quick check-ride. It is also not uncommon for an experienced driver with a long break from the sport to require a refresher day to shake off the cobwebs, and thank us for it later. :)

Fee free to post here or contact me directly with any questions!
