It's that time of year again, where I sell my new car and claim I don't need wheels for awhile!

This year, is a 2011 Subaru WRX STi sedan, in white. Current mileage is about 15,500, and the car is located in Brooklyn, NY. I can bring it to the Boston or Providence area for a buyer, seeing as this is COM and most of ya'll live in NE.

I bought this car in January 2011, so I could drive to see my fiancee in RI on the weekends. She's living in NYC now, so the need for the car has gone.

It's the 'base' model STi, which means no sunroof or foglights, no nav and half leather/half alcantara seats. 18x8.5 wheels with some track-worthy Dunlop SP600s, sporting plenty of meat remaining.

The 2011 STi has had some significant handling upgrades from the factory compared to previous year STis; for those who remember my days of terrorizing COM with the blue 2005 STi I had, this one handles just as well out of the box as that car did with shocks and swaybars, albeit with a better ride.

I took it to NHMS once, and besides from an annoying tendency to understeer after the front tires overheated due to almost zero camber in the factory alignment, the car is great. Throw a set of camber bolts or camber plates on it, and that's all you need to tear up the track. For the record, I ran almost all my sessions on some borrowed RA-1s, so the Dunlops didn't get tore up. I did run one session with the stock tires, though, and they were surprisingly just as fast as the RA-1s in laptimes, but felt a little squirrely up on top of T8 where the RA-1s felt a little more planted... probably due to tread squirm I guess. My time trial sucked due to rain, but the car did run a 1:20 with a rusty driver, which isn't too bad for almost stock (tune and brake pads on RA1s).

The car is very lightly modified; the stock tune was crap, so I bought COBB accessport and have been running the 'stage 1' 93-oct map for about 8k miles. It runs very nicely, and has an on-the-fly switchable map, so you can run 15.5psi or 18psi with the turn of a dial.

Since most of my driving has been highway miles, the average economy has been great. If you don't drive like a jackass, you can easily get 22-24mpg on the highway. Given the price of gas in Connecticut, I drove like granny on my back and forth commutes, and would get about 22-22.5 most trips.

There are some stone chips in the front, a couple scratches on the driver side (mostly in the clear bra over the rear fenders) from a cone in turn 12, and I lost a bumper trim piece from some road debris in the front bumper that I'll replace prior to delivery (it's plastic, and popped out when a piece of tire hit the front bumper on 195 in East Providence). Other than that, no dings, dents or accidents.

I'm getting married in three weeks, so I'd love to move it before then. The wedding is in Boston, so if you live in the area, I'll gladly deliver it on my way to the church.
